the mobility of the future. This requires mastering a wide range of variants in the development process. The aim of the project is to combine the approaches of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) with product line engineering (PLE) to create model-based product line engineering (MBPLE).  <\/p>\n<p>It exploring approaches for mapping model-based interfaces for the systems involved in automated train operation. With the help of newly designed MBPLE development processes, we are implementing an adaptive communication bridge between the train protection system and the vehicle control system based on a real-time capable, virtualized platform. <\/p>\n<p>Our prototype will allow different standards to communicate with one another.
