optimum cooperation for customers

The challenge:
The Bürkert valve island 8652 AirLINE with its extended diagnostic functions and integrated display was specially developed for the requirements of process automation. It guarantees effective commissioning, comprehensive diagnostics and cost-effective maintenance. Bürkert’s market requirement was to be able to use the Bürkert valve terminal as identically as possible to known workflows in SIMATIC PCS7. Some requests for integration in Siemens PCS7 came from the pharmaceutical sector. To make this possible, a corresponding driver library was required.
The solution:
Together we developed a driver library for the integration of the 8675 AirLine valve island in Siemens Simatic PCS 7 for versions 9.0, 9.1 and 10. First, the exact requirements for the integration were analyzed and documented. In the next step, the channel drivers and diagnostic modules were created. To ensure optimum integration, a comprehensive test plan was drawn up during development to test the implemented functions. The tests based on this ensured that all requirements were met.
The codewerk factor:
- Many years of experience in device integration in PCS 7
- Extensive industry-specific know-how in process automation
- Official PCS 7 Addon Partner
